Jesse A. Walker

(1837 - 1931)

Last Will and Testament

I, Jesse, A. Walker, of Jefferson County, Florida, being of sound mind and memory, and considering the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death, while I am in full possession of my mental faculties, desiring to dispose of the worldly goods that I am possessed of, do hereby make, publish and declare this to be my Last Will and testament, hereby revoking all former will by me made.

I commit my soul to the God who gave it, and my body to the earth to be decently buried.

I desire and direct that all of my just debts and funeral expenses be paid by my Executor, hereinafter named, as soon as may be convenient after my death.

I desire to be buried by my beloved wife, Mary Jane Walker, in the Walker Cemetery, And I direct that my Executor, hereinafter name, have a suitable tomb stone placed at my grave, the same to be in keeping with the tomb stone now at the grave of my beloved wife, Mary Jane Walker; the said tomb stone to be erected as soon as convenient after my death.

I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved daughter-in-law, Lulu Walker, she being the widow of my beloved son Jesse H. Walker, all of my property of every kind and description, whether real, personal or mixed, which I may die possessed of. In making this device, I am mindful of my children and grandchildren, but considering the necessities of my said daughter-in-law, and being mindful of the constant care and attention that she has given me in my declining years, I feel that this disposition of my worldly goods, is the only one that I should make.

I hereby constitute and appoint my beloved nephew, James E. Walker, to be Executor of this my Last Will and testament, and request that he not be required to give or enter into bond as such Executor.

In Witness Whereof, I, the said Jesse A. Walker, have to this my last Will and Testament, set my hand and Seal this the 11th day of April, A. D. 1929.
